Wk 1 - More Faith
Discussion Questions:
Read Jonah 1 together.
Have you ever “run away” from (or not done) something you knew was right (or God called you to do)? Did you run away from something because you thought it would be too hard?
How did you feel after not doing what you were supposed to? Were you scared of getting in trouble? Did you feel guilty? Were there consequences to these actions?
God has put people in our lives that He wants us to care for. It’s easy for us to focus on ourselves and forget about others. We also worry about how others will respond to our invitations or actions. We cannot control other people’s feelings or reactions. This is where God comes in. Our job is to love like Jesus and trust God to do the rest.
Challenge
Read John 15:1-7 togehter.
As a family, each person should come up with a list of 5 people they are close to. From there, circle two people you want to do something kind for. Now, draw a number 1 next to the person you feel you should invite to church. Pray with your family for the encouragement to help and invite these people.
