What is Discovery Kids?
Discovery Kids is a place with specific environments designed for children from birth through 5th grade that are safe, fun, and a great place for your kid to learn about God. Discovery is relentless about investing in the next generation; that is why over 60% of our building is dedicated to Discovery Kids. Offered at every service, this is a great place for your kids to be regardless of age, energy level, or specific need.
When is Discovery Kids?
Discovery Kids is offered at each of our Sunday morning services: 9:00 and 10:30 AM.
Is it safe?
Oh yeah!
Discovery Kids Team Members have annual background and child abuse checks completed to ensure safety for your child. Each classroom has a safe ratio between Discovery Kids and Team Members and always has at least two Team Members present. The Discovery Kids area is routinely monitored by staff and our safety team.
Where is Discovery Kids?
As you enter through the main entrance, the Discovery Kids area is to your right (not necessarily your kid’s right!). Don’t worry; we have clear signage and people that can help you find it! It starts with you checking each kid in. After service is over, bring your child’s safety sticker back to check your child out. If you are coming to Discovery for the first time, we will ask for some basic family information. Don’t worry, it is quick and you can get your coffee before you drop your kid off.
Discovery Kids Areas
Nursery
From Birth to walking up to age 2, this space is for you. Expect a fun and cozy area with plenty of Team Members to help your little one receive all the care they need in a safe environment.
Preschool
This area, for our 2 year olds through 5 year olds (not quite kindergarten), provides space for crafts, activities and social fun all surrounding a lesson and worship song that is age-appropriate for your toddler.
Elementary
From Kindergarten up through 5th grade, we have space for your child! We provide small groups so kids can learn and socialize in more focused areas, and we come together in our Kids Venue to worship and play games and learn our bottom line for the week.
Discovery Kids Online
If you missed a Sunday, want your kids to watch something more meaningful throughout the week, or ready to remove everything named J.J. in your life; we have your back! Discovery Kids publishes our weekly videos for each environment on our YouTube channel and compiles them into playlists. So you can start it and know your kids are safe.

Meet Lauren!
Hey there, my name is Lauren! My husband Matt and I have 3 children (Molly, Levi and Maggie) and 3 dogs (Rosie, Copper and Bella). We love to load up the gang and head to our camp in Cooks Forest, PA to spend the days hiking, kayaking, or biking. While at home I enjoying going to the gym, spending time with friends and savoring delicious local cuisine. I am very excited to serving this church community as the Children’s Pastor. I have been serving in children’s and/or student’s ministry for over 20 years! So I am passionate about creating a firm foundation for children to build the rest of their lives on. The Bible says “start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” Proverbs 22:6. I can’t wait to meet you all at Kids Church on Sunday mornings!
