One of the best ways to get connected - to your people, your purpose, and to Jesus - is by serving.

When you serve alongside others at Discovery, you help meet real needs - within the church, in our local community, and around the world. Whether you’re making someone feel welcome on a Sunday, helping kids feel safe and loved, or showing up for those in need, you’re part of something bigger.

You’re serving as the hands and feet of Jesus so that people are ready to hear His message of life to the full.

There’s a place for everyone - whether you’re outgoing, behind-the-scenes, good with kids, tech-savy, or just ready to try something new.

Guest Experience + Events

  • Greeter - Welcome everyone with kindness and a smile

  • Barista - Serve up great coffee and great conversation

  • Sign Language Interpreter - Help make gatherings accessible

  • Next Steps Team - Hang out with people at Foundations or Lunch with the Leaders

  • Lobby Host - Greet guests with a smile and help them feel at home. (9am-4pm | Mon - Sat)

  • Thurs. Night Food Service Team - Help greet and serve the meal for Thurs. Night Services (5-6:45pm)

Admin + Central Support

  • Weekday/night Admin Help - Whether you’re tech-savvy or want to do hands on admin, lend a hand in your free time during the week

  • Weekend Admin Help - Coordinate day of details for church events like Lunch with the Leaders, Baptisms, etc.

  • Environment - Help makes events beautiful through design and decor.

 
 

Discovery Kids

  • *Check-In/Greeter - Help families get checked in smoothly.

  • *Nursery - Snuggle and care for our littlest ones.

  • *Classroom Helper - Hang out with kids and support that week’s teacher (avail for PreK, K-3rd, or 4th + 5th grade - you can select age preference.

  • *Special Needs Buddy - Be a friend and helper to a child who needs extra support.

  • *Event Helper - Set up, tear down, or assist during special kids’ events.

  • *Language Translator - Help bridge communication with families.

Discovery Students

  • *Events Helper - Be part of big moments like “One Big Nights”

  • *Weekly Setup/Check-In - Get things ready and welcome students.

 
 

Worship & Tech

  • Tech Team - Run lights, sound, or slides (no experience needed - we’ll train you!)

  • Musician - Step into a leadership role by playing guitar, keys, or drums (one on one meeting to follow)

  • Vocalist - Help lead others in worship through singing (one on one meeting to follow)

Creative

  • Photographer - Capture the moments

  • Video Editor - Edit the moments

  • Designer - Use your gifts to make the digital space great through editorial or graphic design

  • Social Media - Use your creativity to help connect people to Discovery

Building Operations

  • Chair Reset Team - Help reset and straighten the chairs (as needed) in the Main Venue before Sunday services.

  • Building Helper - Care for indoor and outdoor spaces to create welcoming environments.

  • Thursday Night Set Up (4-5pm)

  • Thursday Night Tear Down (6:45-7:45pm)

Partner-Level Opportunities

Ready to take a deeper step? These are great ways for people who call Discovery their home to step into deeper leadership within the church.

  • Care Team - Pray for and support those who come through the doors of Discovery

  • Start Here Team - Welcome and connect with new guests

  • Group Leader - Help people find Jesus, their purpose, and their people! Short term and long term group leadership opportunities available.

    • Leader for Adults (Foundations, Rooted, or Neighborhood Groups)

    • Leader for Kids

    • Leader for Middle School Students

    • Leader for High School Students

Local Impact

Discovery partners with organizations who are meeting real needs in our community and around the world. These partners offer unique ways to serve - from volunteering at a prom for adults with special needs to joining a mission trip to El Salvador.
