Party People

Jesus loved Parties. Throughout the Gospels, many of the stories about him show him coming from, going to, or participating in parties. One of his favorite metaphors for eternity was—you guessed it—a giant party. In fact, Jesus even told his followers to throw parties, especially for those who can’t or won’t pay you back. He told us to lean into his joy and then spread it around. So here at Discovery, that’s one of the many thing we love to do. We throw parties for new mothers, those with special needs, women in rehab, and for many, many more. We’re a church that loves to throw parties. You could say we’re Party People, just like Jesus is.
