Read Proverbs 2:1-11
This weekend we talked about the importance of making right decisions & how they shape our lives.
When you think about having or gaining wisdom…what comes to your mind?
Why do you think passage compares God’s wisdom to hidden treasures?
Do you ever think about how God WANTS to grant you wisdom?
Read Proverbs 3:5-6
Do you ever find it difficult to know God’s wisdom apart from your own understanding?
In what ways can we practice not ‘leaning on our own understanding’ but rather on God’s wisdom?
Our God is a loving God that wants us to be able to come to Him & sit in His presence. Jesus is the truest friend we can ever have and His wisdom is far beyond any knowledge we can receive on this earth.
Take a few moments with your group to continue an open conversation on what it means to seek out Godly wisdom. Consider sharing any struggles or circumstances you need wisdom for currently.
Weekly Challenge
Set aside a time this week to write down any decisions or circumstances you need some more of God’s wisdom on. Write those down and pray over those decisions asking God if it aligns with His word, truth, and ultimately the direction He has for your life.
Prayer
Take a few moments to share prayer requests with your group. Pray asking that you would all see and be aware of the ways God is showing and providing His wisdom to you this week.
